Synopsis

WHO IS SOLOMON CREED?

The first in an electrifying new high concept series from Sunday Times bestselling author of Sanctus, Simon Toyne. Perfect for fans of Lee Child and Stephen King.

A plane crash in the Arizona desert. An explosion that sets the world on fire. A damning pact to hide an appalling secret. And one man bound to expose the truth. He is Solomon Creed. No one knows what he is capable of.

Not even him.

When Solomon Creed flees the burning wreckage of a plane in the Arizona desert, seconds before an explosion sets the world alight, he is acting on instinct alone. He has no memory of his past, and no idea what his future holds.  Running towards a nearby town, one name fires in his mind – James Coronado. Somehow, Solomon knows he must save this man. But how do you save a man who is already dead?

My thoughts

I honestly started reading this book thinking it was going to be another Jack Reacher…I was wrong.  When a plane crashes in the desert near the town of Redemption and a man walks away from it, you are hooked.  From the very beginning you want to know who Solomon Creed is and it only adds to the frustration when he does not know who he is.  There are hints and certain personality quirks that make you really think when it comes to Solomon, he can speak 6 languages but cannot recollect how he came to do this.  He has knowledge of cars, fighting, things you would not normally know unless trained in it.

I found myself really engrossed in the other characters too and all the threads of the story leads to one place, Redemption, and towards one character.  Solomon.

Looking forward to the next instalment!
